Samsung makes smartphones for all market segments and the J line is the most affordable in the manufacturer's lineup. There are quite a few different smartphones in it, which are also divided into several categories. But their price tags are still less than those of the A-series models. Today we will take a look at what one of the “budget employees” of the A-brand is capable of - Samsung Galaxy J6.
The set of accompanying things for the J6 is pretty standard: a charger with a detachable cable, a simple headset, a clip for SIM-card trays and documentation. This time, we ended up with the smartphone without all of the above, so we couldn't assess the quality of the kit.
When you turn it on for the first time, you can immediately understand that the smartphone will not be able to compete with more expensive models, because it will not even connect to a local network in the 5 GHz range. This, of course, will not be the end of the world, but once again i Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus 32 GB Blue t will remind you of the "budget" of the device. Conveniently, unlike many flagships, there is a place for separate slots for SIM and memory cards. Active users of a pair of operators will clearly appreciate this move.
A few months ago we had a review of the Samsung Galaxy J8. There I mentioned that the appearance of Samsung smartphones is now in varying degrees, but is repeated in the latest models of the manufacturer. In cheaper smartphones, like the J6, the flagship cannot be considered, it looks much simpler. The test apparatus is gray, but with a clearly visible blue tint. There are also black and red variations in our retail. Gloss everywhere, which in no time is covered with fingerprints and small scratches. Keeping the device neat and tidy without a case will be a daunting task.
True, if you put a cover on top of the case, this will not add convenience, because the smartphone is not the smallest without it: 161.4 × 76.9 × 7.9 mm. But the weight is 178 grams. However, this is still a large gadget and it will be more convenient to use it with two hands. You can get used to answering a message with one hand, but you will have to intercept the device a lot, and these are unnecessary risks of dropping it. In this case, damage cannot be avoided. Despite the good assembly, I strongly doubt the shock resistance. This is all offset by a large screen, which will be very convenient for games and videos.
With the placement of controls, there are tricks that are not very familiar to Samsung. For example, the fingerprint scanner is installed on the right side of the power button (this is often found in Sony smartphones). The main speaker is located on the top of the same side. The opposite edge is reserved for the SIM and memory card trays, as well as a couple of volume buttons. Not everyone will appreciate MicroUSB, but many will love the remaining 3.5mm headphone jack.
I am sure that those users who are interested in a large screen will not complain much about the immodest dimensions of a smartphone. Another thing is that, of course, you can't get much pleasure from working with him. The plastic case turned out to be quite cheap and the sensations from it are appropriate. Traces from use are emphasized once again. Nevertheless, those who still want to get good tactile sensations even from an inexpensive gadget will have to look for other options.
Models J6 and J6 differ primarily in screens. Whereas the smaller model has a 5.6 "SuperAMOLED, this is a 6" TFT display in our test subject. But the resolution in both cases is the same - 1480 × 720 pixels (274 ppi). Not as much as we would like. But if you just use the device and do not try to find fault, then in daily use everything is not as bad as it might seem on paper. But yes, in this price there are competitors with "denser" screens.
The color rendition will surely appeal to fans of "cold" shades. As shown by the colorimeter, the color temperature is kept around 8500K. In the settings there are no presets for image correction, as well as separate items for changing parameters. I would not say that this causes severe discomfort, not at all. At the same time, thanks to the IPS-matrix, the picture is quite soft, and on such a large screen it is more convenient to watch videos, play and do other everyday tasks.
There are no problems with the sensor, and the oleophobic coating is in place. There is not as much backlighting as we would lik
