1.1 Services. Upon receipt of a service order, Apple will service your Apple product as described, for a specified cost estimate, unless the estimate is modified Repair & Construction in Mwanza Region with your prior oral or written consent. Unless otherwise noted, Apple will repair or replace to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service will not be provided if problems are caused by an error or incompatibility of software or data located or recorded on the product. As part of the service, Apple may install system software updates that prevent you from downgrading the system software of your Apple product. Updates to system software may cause third-party programs installed on your Apple product to be incompatible or not work with the Apple product.
1.2 Data Transfer Services. If your existing Apple Mac is capable of storing software, data, or other information (“Data”), Apple may attempt to transfer the above Data to a replacement device. Data may be lost during service. In such event, Apple will not be held liable for any loss of Data.
a. For any Data transfer service, regardless of whether Apple successfully transfers Data from the original device to a replacement device, Apple will delete all Data on the original device. You should keep a separate backup of Device Data, delete any personal information you want to protect, and disable all security passwords. During maintenance, Data may be lost, replaced, or reformatted. In such event, Apple and its agents will not be responsible for any loss of software, Data, or other information on the device.
b. A data transfer service involves transferring Data directly from your original device to a replacement device, or to a compatible external storage device provided by you. Apple will not transfer Data to any Apple or third party proprietary system or storage device, and will not retain a copy of Data in the course of any Data transfer service.
1.3 Spare parts and work. Apple may provide parts and service personnel, but may provide self-replacement instructions for certain user-installed parts, as described below. Apple may use new or remanufactured parts or products that are equivalent to new in performance or reliability when servicing your product. Apple takes ownership of the replacement part or product, and you become the owner of the replacement part or product. Replaced parts and products will generally be subject to repair and will be exchanged or repaired by Apple for a fee. If applicable law requires Apple to return a replacement part or product to you, you agree to refund Apple the retail price of the replacement part and postage.
1.4 Service Options. Apple provides service in one of the following ways and chooses which one to use as appropriate, such as the type of Apple product:
A Self-service ("Do it yourself"). Self-service (“Do it yourself”) allows you to self-service your product. If Apple determines that Do It Yourself service is available, Apple will ship a replacement part for your product. Along with the replacement part, you will receive installation instructions and requirements for returning the old part. If your Do It Yourself service requires the return of a replacement part, you must provide credit card details to provide guarantees. All old parts to be returned must be shipped to Apple within ten (10) days of the date the new replacement part is shipped for replacement (the “return period”). If (i) you do not return the replaced part as instructed within the return period, or (ii) the old part is not serviceable due to the exception described below, you will pay the amount agreed upon at the time of the service order. If Apple does not require the return of the replaced part, Apple will ship the replacement part or product to you, along with installation instructions and requiremen
